Maths Masterclass
This term we have been running a series of Maths Masterclasses for schools in our liaison group supported by the Royal Institute. Pupils from St Mary's, Holtspur, Stoke Poges, Seer Green and Farnham Common have joined five pupils from Butlers Court for a series of maths investigations designed to challenge their understanding and promote their love of the subjects. The series started with Paul Stephenson leading a session on 'Perspective Drawing', then Mr Sutton lead a number of sessions. Above you can see Zoe, Alice, Seren, Samuel and Max with the results of a ratio and proportion investigation using blue and red water mixed together in different proportions to make various shades of purple. The sessions are being concluded by Alison Eves from the Royal Institute running a session on 'Around the Planets with Number.'
