Kites

As our final project of the year, we made kites.

We constructed a frame using thin wooden sticks, string and glue, then we covered it and added a long length of string.

Clay

We have made a village of fairy/wizard houses.  The children modelled these from polymer clay which was then baked in the oven to harden it.  I'm sure you will agree that there are some fantastic creations.

BATH BOMBS

For the last of our sessions, we made bath bombs.  We mixed together cream of tartar and bicarbonate of soda.  Next, we added some olive oil, food colouring, essential oil, rose petals or dried lavender and edible glitter.  We mixed these well and then sprayed some water on them to get the right consistency.  We then put the mixture in moulds and left them over the weekend to dry.  The smell was heavenly!  Here are some examples....
