Wye Valley Track Events
The Wye Valley Sports Track event was the last event of the season and again we competed well in fine weather with 5 of our sprinters qualifying for their finals. The long distance races saw some superb performances and personal bests with a third place for Abigail in Y6 and victories For Freddie (Y6), Liam (Y5) and Ellis (Y3).
The form continued in the 200m with 4 competitors gaining certificates and Eavie winning her Y6 race. Thomas Ainger gained a second in the Y6 bean bag while Bibi gained a third in the skipping and in the Sprint Finals Asha cruised to victory in the Y4 event. The afternoon finished with the Relays with all the teams performing well with several close finishes. Although none gained a cup for first place there were third places for the Y4 girls and Y6 girls and second places for both Y3 teams and the Y6 boys. All those who have represented the school this summer should be proud of their efforts.
