Butlers Court School Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) play a vital role, raising thousands of pounds each year to help give pupils the best possible education.

There is a fantastic committee and great band of volunteers who work tirelessly for the school – despite considerable work and home commitments.

The PTA is always looking for new faces to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to organising and running events so speak to one the Committee, come to a PTA Meeting or e-mail your interest to if you want to become more involved.

Regular events at Butlers Court include Christmas, Easter and Summer Fairs; Discos; Cake Sales; and a Bike-it Breakfast for the children. In addition, there are a number of events for parents including Quiz Nights; Guest Speakers and the Summer Ball.

The PTA also help support an array of school functions, including the Harvest Festival, a special performance of the Christmas play for local senior citizens and providing refreshments on Sports Days.

PTA Meetings usually take place each half term and involve the Head Teacher, Teacher Representatives, PTA Committee, parents who are acting as Class Reps for particular year groups and any parent interested in coming along.

Butlers Court Bonanza

Butlers Court Bonanza is an easy way to support the school...with three chances to win cash prizes!

Butlers Court PTA launched the first Butlers Court Bonanza and it is running for the academic year 2016/2017.  It is an opportunity for parents and staff to purchase a Bonanza number for the year that will be entered into a prize draw each term.  Half of the money raised will be donated to the PTA and the other half will be given away as prize money.

A once-yearly subscription of £15 buys you a number that will be entered into all three draws, one held each academic term.  If your number is picked, you win a cash prize.

There will be three prizes each term:

1st prize - 50% of the prize money for the term

2nd prize - 30% of the prize money for the term

3rd prize - 20% of the prize money for the term

For example - if 100 numbers are sold, £1,500 would be raised for the year, and each term £500 would be used as follows:

  • £250 donated to the PTA
  • 1st prize £125 each draw
  • 2nd prize £75 each draw
  • 3rd prize £50 each draw

Please note: the deadline to purchase a subscription for this school year has now passed.  Sales will re-open in September 2017.
