Year 2 Beaconsfield Old Town and Market Trio
On 26th September, Year 2 spent a lovely morning in Beaconsfield Old Town. We walked around the town looking for clues that told us what Beaconsfield used to be like and what happened there. We spotted wide roads and large arches that told us that horses and carriages used to travel through Beaconsfield going between Oxford and London. We noticed roofs on houses that were wobbly and bricks that had crumbled. We spotted a stone trough that horses would drink from. After that we spoke to people at the market and found out why they were visiting the town. We also enjoyed a delicious snack from the Fruit and Vegetable stall!
