Year 6 Girls' Football Tournament
Tuesday 15th October saw the first outing for our Year 6 Girls’ team as Butlers Court hosted the 7-a-side tournament. The team were ready and raring to go and the first game kicked off at 4pm. Working really well as a team, we defended and blocked a lot of shots, with only a couple getting through. In the second half we worked more on attack and started to create our own chances on the opposition goal. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to score. Our second game started off more promisingly, with some strong dribbling down the wings we looked a threat to score a few goals. However, all of this attack left a space at the back and they managed to get round us and score. The second half kicked off, and with more dribbling on display and the team working well in defence we continued to threaten to score. We came close on a few occasions, but the elusive goal never came. The girls all played very well and are looking forward to future matches.
