'Believe and Achieve Together'
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The final week of term saw the annual event of Clock Sports return to the school field with a range of twelve activities testing the children’s accuracy, agility and speed. All of the children taking part showed great teamwork and cheered their teammates on all morning. There were some very high scoring activities and one or two very low scoring activities but the children all seemed to enjoy themselves.
4RP have been incredibly busy at home over the last three months. We have baked cakes and biscuits, created comic strips and fact files, written stories and play scripts and so much more. Here is just a sample of some of the amazing work that the children have produced.
A book project for Year 1.
The events this term did little to stop this long standing tradition at Butlers Court. At the start of the Summer term, Year 6 pupils were paired with Year 1 pupils to become book partners. Through the term, emails were exchanged to enable the Year 6s to establish friendships and discover reading interests and habits. Year 6 pupils used the information to plan and write a short story for their partners. The story was then published in a handmade book complete with illustrations and pop up mechanisms. Take a look at the delightful books!
During week 5, Year 2 enjoyed finding out about different habitats. We had fun minibeast hunting but our absolute favourite was pond dipping. Every Year 2 bubble managed to find a newt but 2KL bubble 2 found three of them! Of course once we had finished observing the newts and other pond creatures, we put them back in their natural habitat. It was a really exciting afternoon.

Lockdown as a Key Worker Child
"Lockdown has been on for quite a while, now. I'm still going to school but there aren't many people there. But I don't go to school all the time as sometimes my mum and dad work from home so I do google classroom at home. Because of corona virus, we have to wash our hands a lot. We can't see our friends or have play dates. Since one of my friends lives on my road, I wave to her when I go past her house. I miss going to my grandparent's house and seeing them. I miss seeing my cousins. I miss going to the park. I miss my friends. I miss going to the cinema and other nice fun places."

Arty Shadows
Ever since watching and enjoying Mrs Habgood’s art tutorial videos, we notice the shadows everywhere we go! This is Charlie Village, 6BMS.
VE DAY BUNTING
Even though we are still in lockdown Freddie and George Smith-Webb wanted to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day. They worked really hard at home making bunting to hang in the window. Well done boys, it looks amazing!
FACE MASKS FOR THE NHS
I have been helping my brothers and my Dad to make face shields for Wexham Park hospital and our local Doctors surgery. We have made nearly 500.
