  • Y5 and Y6 Sing Christmas Carols at Harrias House

    Thu 17 Dec 2015

A group of Yr5 and 6 singers provided festive entertainment at  Harrias House Residential Home recently. They sang a selection of modern and traditional Christmas Carols with enthusiasm and enjoyment and  some children performed instrumental solos. I am proud of the way in which they represented Butlers Court in the community.  Thank you to those who volunteered their time.

    Netball Tournament

Across three weeks, the Butlers Court Y5 and Y6 netball teams played a tournament against nine other schools. Every team played each other at least twice.

The A team began with a wonderful win of 9-0 against St Peter’s, with help from shooter Jasmine Grinhaff who scored a grand total of six goals. With high spirits after seeing this match, the B team played Gerrads Cross but the score was unfortunately 2-1 to the opponents.

Next the A team played Seer Green, and Gerrads cross winning one, losing one, and coming to a draw on the final one against Stoke Poges. While these matches were being played, the B team battled with Holtspur to finish with a one all result.

On week two, the A team played Lent rise with a good result of 2-1 to us. Later they played Holtspur and Seer Green, with results of 2-0 and 1-0 to the other teams. The B team played Lent rise, Stoke Poges and Holtspur in closely fought matches. Next, the A team played the B team in an intense match. It was odd as everyone was marking their friends! With help from A team shooters, Aymee Patel and Jasmine Grinhaff, the A team had an impressive win of 6-0 to them.

In week three, the A team played six matches, winning a grand total of four matches, drawing one and losing one. Thankfully, Stoke Poges did not score any goals against us, and the match ended at 0-0. As this happened, the B team played five matches against St Peter’s, Seer Green, Farnham Common A, Gerrads Cross B, and Stoke Poges A. Again these matches had very close results.

The B team ended up with a credible 7th place position and the A team a wonderful 3rd . Well done to all the players who took part.

Thank you to Mrs Strawa for organising the event.
