  • 2016 Christmas Fair Ready To Go

    Thu 08 Dec 2016 PTA

The Christmas Fair took place last week and definitely started the school’s festive events in style.

The atmosphere on the day was wonderful and it was brilliant to watch the excitement and enjoyment overflowing from the hall, the dining room and of course from Elf School and Santa’s Grotto. We think it’s safe to say that the children had fun!

  • Reception Dress as Superheroes

    Tue 06 Dec 2016
Panda and Giraffe classes enjoyed dressing up as Superheroes as part of our topic work this term. Look at our amazing costumes and even the staff got in on the act. We really did have a SUPER day! We made up our own superhero story which you can read on our website page.
  • Choir Faust Concert

    Tue 06 Dec 2016

    Voices United!

Our Yr5 and 6 choir took part in a wonderful concert at St Mary’s Church on 26th Nov. The event was organised by The Faust Ensemble, who provided a highly entertaining workshop in the afternoon to prepare the children for the music they were about to listen to. Our dedicated singers, who had been working hard over many weeks rehearsing, performed their songs with enthusiasm and feeling and we really enjoyed the  sound we produced in such a beautiful building. Congratulations for a fantastic performance.

  • Google Expedition Experience

    Tue 06 Dec 2016
The KS2 children had an opportunity to be explorers when the Google pioneers Team visited school with their Expeditions kit.  The children used viewers to experience a number of different environments in 3D guided by their teachers.
There was great excitement as the screens came alight and the children realised as they turned their head the view changed; 'wow' and 'look at that' were two of the more common expressions as the Year 3 children explored ancient Egyptian sites, Y4 Borneo, Y5 Mayan Temples and Y6 the River Amazon and Brazilian Rain Forests.  There were lots of positive experiences from the children at the end of their tours.
