  • Plant for the Planet

    Thu 05 Apr 2018

On Wednesday 21st March 2018, 10 students were selected to go to an event called Plant for the Planet! We went for the whole day and did lots of different games, studying how since 1990 the world has changed so much, and we need to do something about it. We did lots of different activities but the most popular one was definitely planting our own trees! At the end of the day each school group did a presentation about what we had found out. We all had a great day and will use the information we have found out to change the future for us all.

  • Energize 2018

    Thu 05 Apr 2018

Y5 recently made their debut on the Wycombe Swan stage and what a performance it was! 10 schools, 300 children combined in a massed choir and performed "History Matters", a musical written by local composers on the theme of historical characters and how their actions, skills and creativity has shaped our lives. Our two Y5 classes put a lot of hard work and dedication into learning 10 songs and rehearsing their dance representing Scott of the Antarctic and his final expedition. I am so proud of their commitment, enthusiasm and behaviour and I hope that this was an experience they will remember for a long time. Brilliant work, congratulations to everyone!

In third place were Sophia Cooper, Nathan Dodd, Jazmin Lebovich and Stanley Pearson-Taylor, while going through to represent us at the next stage are Gaia Gianneri, Ethan Boyne, Tom Marsh and Francesca Wilson. Congratulations to both teams.

ANS: Olympus Mons and The Gettysburg Address

    Note from Paul Sutton

The team travelled into North London enjoying the walk around the outside of Wembley Stadium. The 11 other schools provided tough competition with the Butlers Court team finishing 6th overall. On the walk back around Wembley Stadium they all enjoyed some wonderfully large doughnuts.

  • New Mozart Orchestra

    Thu 05 Apr 2018

Recently KS2 were lucky to receive a visit from the New Mozart Orchestra who performed a very enjoyable and high quality concert for us. The concert celebrated the links that exist between the UK and America and which have recently been in the news following the engagement of Prince Harry and Megan Markle. In addition to the special experience of hearing and witnessing a live orchestra, the professional musicians demonstrated the sound production from different members of the instrument "families" and showed how these instrument families could describe different moods in music.

During the concert, some of our talented musicians had been practicing specially written parts and gained a unique and exciting experience of playing and performing with the orchestra.

We will be following up the concert with workshop sessions provided by the musicians for some year groups.
