'Believe and Achieve Together'
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our Maths team will travel to the British Motor Museum, Gaydon to try and defend the World Championship they won last year against teams from England, Scotland Qatar and Spain. With 90000 pupils around the World taking part in the challenge our team of James Hanrahan (10), Frasier Andrews (11), Jack Boxley (11) and Oscar Timms (11) have had to program a racing car to race against other schools in two races to reach this stage using a wide range of maths skills. “We are looking forward to an exciting day, although I do not find watching the race good for my nerves,” Paul Sutton, Deputy Head
“We are very proud of these pupils representing the school and all those others in school who have competed with them to push them to these high standards.” Jeanette Marshall, headteacher
On the 21st June our team of Jasper Patton (11), Max Marsh (10), Francesca Wilson (9) and Seren Brown (8) will be taking part in the finals of the Schools National Quiz Championships against eleven other schools. With an entry of 1400 Primary Schools the team have answered a wide variety of General Knowledge questions winning two rounds to make it to the Finals that will be held at the National Naval College, Greenwich.
“They have a wide range of General Knowledge, particularly their Geography and history – I think they must know every flag in the world,” Paul Sutton, Deputy Headteacher
BUTLERS COURT END OF SEASON NETBALL TOURNAMENT
On a hot sunny afternoon the Butlers Court End of Season Netball Tournament took place on Friday 5th May 2016. 35 children from years 4, 5 and 6 were split into 5 teams.
Teams played each other once in games of 6 minutes each way rotating positions at half time and at the start of each game, as per High 5 rules.
All games were closely contested with only 2 points separating 1st and 2nd places and a mere 2 points between 3rd and 5th places.
Mrs Marshall presented certificates to all 35 participants and The Butlers Court Netball Tournament Cup was presented to the winning team.

It was impressive to see how the children supported each other in their teams with the more experienced netballers giving advice and encouragement.
A huge thank you to Mrs Cook, Mrs Lansdown and Ellie Morris, from The Beaconsfield School, for their help during the tournament and to all the parents/carers for their support during the season, particularly those who have helped with transport for away games and tournaments.
However, the biggest thank you must go to the children who have attended netball club, whatever the weather, throughout the year. It has been a pleasure to see their skills develop and share in their enjoyment of a fantastic sport.
I wish all the year 6 girls good luck in year 7 and look forward to hearing of their netball involvement in years to come.
Netball will start again in September and I hope to see the return of existing netballers and any boys or girls who would like to join Netball Club will be more than welcome.
